The Diocese of Winchester has had strong links with Uganda for many years. The churches of Romsey Deanery have worked closely with the Diocese of South Rwenzori to support disadvantaged children, provide facilities to support training in carpentry & tailoring & any other suitable project agreed between the Bishop and the Mission Committee.
Regular visits both to Uganda by our supporters & from Uganda by Clergy & Teachers ensures we all are kept informed of progress & life in general.
We are currently exploring new projects to support having completed our fund raising for The Jerusalem Hall Water Fund. The Chickow project has also come to an end. In December 2011 a total of £9,736 was transferred to cover orphan support, workshop, Theological and medical training.
